A GOLDEN CELEBRATION is a 4 CD set of Elvis Presley's music released in 1998. It is a re-release of a 6 LP vinyl set which was originally released in 1984 and is now very difficult to come by.

The strength of this set when compared to the many other Elvis Presley releases is the fact that it features a large number of alternate takes of classic hits, but also music from Elvis' many 1950s TV appearances, such as his classic appearance on Milton Berle and Steve Allen's shows.

There is a rawness to these recordings which many of Elvis' later songs had lost, and it is a real treat to hear so many live performances from this early period of Elvis' career.

This is an essential purchase for anyone interested in the music Elvis Presley made in the 1950s.
