Advantages: Interesting concept for an album. Good Lyrics

Disadvantages: You'll either love it or hate it.

Love him or hate him, you cannot deny that the guy has talent. Mike skinner is an extremely good lyricist and the way he puts together songs that are about normal every day life strikes a chord with a lot of people.

The second album from the streets is slightly different from the first album. It is very much like a concept album, which tells a story from start to finish. Starting with Mike being down on his luck with the song "it was supposed to be so easy", the album moves through an obsession with gambling, a night out on the smash in a dance club, arguments with his girlfriend, mates backstabbing and eventually being dumped by his girlfriend. The story told is very similar to what Mike went through when he was younger and it is quite compelling.

Some of the tracks are a bit sketchy. For example the single "Fit but you know it" had an irritating "parklife" sound to it which did nothing for a lot of people but overall, i was impressed with the follow up to original pirate material.

Top class
