Seriously, what is their not to like about the jonas brothers? Fair enough, they are preppy and they are very typical of disney and they are quite 'kiddy' but they're actually really good. They actually make pretty decent music, with catchy melodies and tunes, and they're so cute. I actually think that they make amazing music and i love this album. It's a little bit more grown up than their previous albums, containing songs about more serious issues, this album makes it clear that the jonas brothers have grown up. However one downside with this album, as with all jonas brothers albums is that after a while, the songs become repetitive, its like hearing the same tunes but with slightly different lyrics, so i feel like its impossible to listen to the whole album all the way through without getting bored. But i do adore the jonas brothers and this album just makes me remember why, its easy to listen to music, makes you feel happy and you'll soon be singing along, buy it, its the jonas brothers!
The Jonas Brothers shot to fame a few years ago thanks to Disney Channel - well, that's where I first heard them anyway. The band is made up of three brothers, Kevin, Joe & Nick and their 2nd album - their debut album being a limited release before they switched record labels -, Jonas Brothers, was released in 2007. The follow-up, A Little Bit Longer, was released in 2007 and their 4th album, Lines, Vines & Trying Times (tentative title) is due to be released this year. I'll be reviewing A Little Bit Longer, which I got after hearing Burning Up on Disney Channel.
1. BB Good
A catchy opening song, good to sing-a-long to.
2. Burning Up
The song that made me want the album, Burning Up is catchy and it is fast.
A mid-tempo song that I enjoyed.
4. One Man Show
One of my least favourite songs on the album, One Man Show is a bit too slow for me.
Lovebug is one of my favourites. It starts off really slow and builds and builds before bursting into a fast, rockier edge.
Fast and with Joe screaming "Toniiiiiiiiight" near the end is really catchy.
7. Can't Have You
Can't Have You is, as the title says, about not being able to have someone. It's slow with fast choruses.
8. Video Girl
Video Girl is a fast song starting with: "OMG, did you hear I'm dating a Jonas Brother?" and going on from there about Video Girls.
9. Pushin' Me Away
Pushin' Me Away is my favourite song of the album with a quick tempo.
Sorry is a slow song, sung by Nick and really well sung.
11. Got Me Going Crazy
Got Me Going Crazy is one that makes you want to tap your feet and sing along.
12. A Little Bit Longer
Apparently this song was written because of Nick's diabetes and is a slow song. The album title came from this song.
A Little Big Longer is a great album with all of the songs sing-a-long-able. I can't wait for their next album. Not only are their voices and instrument playing great but they write all of their songs too!
