producers named Stock Aitken and Waterman - and that s how Another Place and Time came to be. ==About Another Place and Time== Another Place and Time was D Donna Summer s fourteenth studio album in just over fifteen years, a remarkable achievement by modern standards, whichever way you look at it. It was rather more successful in the UK than anywhere else, where it reached the top 20 (the last of her studio albums to do so) and spawned five singles, two of which made the top 10. The move to Stock Aitken and Waterman was a relatively logical move for Summer. The SAW sound had proven to be extremely successful all over the world, with artists like Hazell Dean, Dead or ...

Donna Summer [Background: 'Disco Diva' Donna Summer has had a long and prosperous career in pop music that now spans over twenty-five years. Born LaDonna Gaines, she went on to become one of the most famous and successful female solo singers of all-time, although her rise to fame was far from being a simple one.] Born on New Year's Eve 1948 in Boston, Massachusetts (yes - she's now over 50 AND a grandmother as well), LaDonna Gaines was part of a large family with a distinctly middle-class upbringing along with her brother and five sisters. However, her obvious talent for the performing arts earned her a place on the stage in a German production of ...
