This is an album that I loved right from the start. The music and singing is not to everyones tastes but if you like one of the tracks, you will likely love most of the album. First of all, the track listing contains some very good songs and most of Shed Sevens weak songs, appear on other albums and not this one. The singing style is laid back, almost lax and uncaring, yet he still manages to fill the songs with emotions. The writing of the songs is brilliant and the songs never get boring. This is my second Op on the fantastic band that are Shed Seven. This week has seen the release of a special edition Live album and in line with that I have decided to revisit all the albums in my collection and do an op on each. The first of course was the debut album, Change Giver and today?s op focuses on A Maximum High released in 1996. Rick Witter: Vocals Paul Banks: Guitars Tom Gladwin: Bass Alan Leach: Drums This was the bands second album of four to date and is widely regarded as the best studio album they have done with songs such as Going For Gold and Bully Boy featuring on it.
