Less grandiose space metal for the faint-hearted. No character of its own.

Talented industrial death metal. Too mechanized and inhuman.

November - Azure Ray
Pleasant background music. Nothing much to it.

Lost In Space: Vol. 1 - Tobias Sammet's Avantasia
Tobias Sammet still has a great voice, and fans of power ballads will likely find something to enjoy Lack of power metal, and what is present isn't very good.

In The Name Of The Father - Altar
Powerful thrash-influenced death metal with feeling. Bitter feeling. Juvenile and potentially offensive, if you lack the sense of humour to consider that an advantage.

Hymn Till Hangagud - Allegiance
Entertainingly violent black metal from excellent performers. Viking themes and musical elements are a little stereotypical for connoisseurs.

Doom Of Destiny - Axxis
Accessible power metal with some interesting operatic touches. Perhaps not experimental enough.

Deleted Scenes From The Transition Hospital - Axis Of Perdition
Effective and unique atmosphere, with a nicely depressive metal performance coming almost as a bonus Long-winded and difficult to listen to, in numerous respects.

Agitation - Am I Blood
For undiscerning thrash fans. Testament-lite, ten years too late.
