An odd sort of Who album (nothing new there then) but with some fantastic tracks in amongst it all. A Quick One was one of the tracks performed by the Who on the ill-fated Rolling Stones Rock n Roll Circus film. The finished article didn't make it to public viewing because - allegedly - the Who's performance outshone the hosts of the event and a petulant Mick scrapped it. Dunno if it's true but the since revived film does indeed show the group to be in spanking form, especially with the title track off the album.
