This album has been out there for nearly 7 years now, so how I have only recently discovered it I do not know. I must have been living in another world or something. I am so impressed by this musical genius entitled 'A rush of blood to the head', that I could listen to it all day. The talented Chris martin has the overwhelming ability to capture the mood of any lyrics perfectly, and his versatile voice really makes this album.

You can start by rocking to the opening track of 'politik', a superb 5 minute piece with Martin's low voice seemingly acting out the lyrics over the strong background of drums.

My favourite track though, has to be 'in my place'; the second song in this album. Perfectly done, the music just seems to blend perfectly well together, and Martin again comes up with the good when singing the fantastic lyrics. Upbeat and entertaining, I can't see anyone not falling in love with that track!

As the album moves on, songs such as 'the scientist' and 'clocks' are worthy of a special mention. Capturing your attention with stunning vocals and brilliant backing that doesn't go O.T.T. The album unfortunately does draw to a close, but the ending with 'amsterdam' does not leave you dissapointed. Slower than most entries from coldplay in this album, it builds to a fantastic, mainly vocal song.
