A RUSH OF BLOOD TO THE HEAD is the excellent album by indie rock band COLDPLAY.
The album consists of eleven tracks of very high standard.
For me the best song on the album is CLOCKS. This is a fast paced song that builds even faster towards the end. The guitar in this song is really powerful and I find very emotional song.
THE SCIENTIST is a great slow song full of emotion. The piano is quite brilliant while Chris Martin's vocals excel. The lyrics can bring a tear to your eye.
GOD PUT A SMILE UPON YOUR FACE starts at a slow pace though the chorus is really fast paced and easy to sing along to. The vocals are quite haunting with the music in the background acompanying the vocals perfectly.
IN MY PLACE is another slow song. The lyrics are great with the piano adding great effect to the pace of the song.
POLITIK starts the album of in a good way with a chilling sound that is different I found to the rest of the tracks.
AMSTERDAM concludes the album with a gentle song that is very mellow and easy going.
GREEN EYES is a ballad that combines vocals and instruments superbly. This is another mellow song with a good tune.
DAYLIGHT is a faster paced track with lots of emphasise on the guitar. A good song with lots of energy.
WARNING SIGN, A WHISPER and A RUSH OF BLOOD TO THE HEAD are all good songs that are worthy of being on the album though not as good as the other tracks.
I think this is Coldplay's best album as all the songs are off a high standard. Even if you don't know the songs by name many you would have heard on adverts or montages.
The only negative is that there aren't enough songs on the album and I think they could have had one or two more faster paced songs.
Overall, from 6.08 at AMAZON this is a really good album.
Summary: Good music brings a rush of blood to the head!
