"Rush of blood to the head" is Coldplays second album since "Parachutes"

Coldplay make vocal mid-tempo stuff with bass guitars, pianos and various instruments which could be classed as "eclectic rock", but its not.

The album itself, like "Parachutes" which was a masterpeice, is almost audible from start to finish and easily grows on you. Each track has its own character.

"Rush of blood to the head" represents a florid rush of emotions in some places and the vocals are without a doubt very talented, but there are some bits that feel a bit engineered such as "Green Eyes". I think this track is deliberately poor akin to "Shes Electric" on an Oasis album, so the user is engaged in using the fast forward button.

"Daylight" is surprising good to listen to in the mornings, especially after a late night. Probably a co-incidence. Its absolutely wierd, has a great bass-riff, and a great way to rock out of bed.

Overall the album has plenty of polish, and often originality verging on pink floyd. More famous tracks include "Clocks" and "In My Place".

Perhaps the only downside is that the lyrics arent too intriguing or coherent and are repetitive in most of the time, but there are some exceptions such as in "The Scientist"

The bottom line is that this is a memorable album, and its difficult to get bored of as you will find yourself dipping into different tracks most of the time.
