A RUSH OF BLOOD TO THE HEAD is the excellent album by indie rock band COLDPLAY. The album consists of eleven tracks of very high standard. For me the best song on the album is CLOCKS. This is a fast paced song that builds even faster towards the end. The guitar in this song is really powerful and I find very emotional ...  Read the complete review

The second album from indie boys Coldplay, this is the second album from them and the album that truly shot them to fame. There are 11 songs on this album. I prefer X & Y over this album but this album is great in its own right and features some of their greatest songs such as in my place, clocks and the scientist. My favourite ...  Read the complete review

This album has been out there for nearly 7 years now, so how I have only recently discovered it I do not know. I must have been living in another world or something. I am so impressed by this musical genius entitled 'A rush of blood to the head', that I could listen to it all day. The talented Chris martin has the overwhelming ability to capture ...  Read the complete review

A rush of blood to the head was the second album by the band cold play. Their first album parachutes had some really great songs on it and was an instant success was I wasn't sure whether they would flop or fly with this one, but luckily they flew as this album was another top notch one from cold play. The first song Politik starts ...  Read the complete review

A Rush Of Blood To The Head is a the sophomore album from British band Coldplay, its a remarkable album and unusually for an artist this second album eclipsed the first in its popularity, going platinum a total of 8 times. Its a brilliant album so lets dive right in. In My Place Beginning with thumping drums before melodic guitar ...  Read the complete review

They might hav been passed over for a Brit award this year but the album Rush of Blood to the Head helped put Coldplay on the map and confirm them as a force to be reckoned with in the music world. The album has some crushingly great tracks on it with some powerful ballads driven by the piano playing and unique vocals of Chris Martin, ...  Read the complete review

Express Review on A Rush Of Blood To The Head - Coldplay

My favourite of their albums. I especially love "God put a smile" and more so after seeing them perform it live. All the greats are on here "In my place,Clocks, Politik" Every track brings pure pleasure and it seems to be over so quick. I could listen to this everyday [and most probably do!!!] and it's another on the ipod ready for labour!!

A Rush of Blood to the Head is probably my favourite Coldplay album, although I'm holding out for the new one- Viva la Vida- to overtake!! Coldplay are quite simply the best band on the planet, and every single song on this album is worthy of being released. People who say that Coldplay are depressing clearly don't appreciate good music and need ...  Read the complete review

Hi. First of all, sorry about the awful title with the worst pun of the song title ever made. Oh well. Let me say that this album is pure gold. ( No, not real gold, because I don't think my CD Player would be able to take the weight...but anyway, I'm babbling ) This album has one of those outstanding things that ...  Read the complete review

The year is 2003 and things have got so bad in the music world that the top 40 has no more than 15 manufactured artists in the current top 40. These so called entertainers haven't an ounce of talent between them and haven't had to work hard to where they've got to. This time next year, another fifteen will roll off the production line ...  Read the complete review

I must admit that I was bracing myself for a slightly disappointing album that could never live up to Parachutes, but boy was I wrong! From the opening crashing beats of Politik to the euphoric ending of Amsterdam this is an album that will take you on a discovery through the best of modern day music. You've all heard the singles. From the ...  Read the complete review

"Rush of blood to the head" is Coldplays second album since "Parachutes" Coldplay make vocal mid-tempo stuff with bass guitars, pianos and various instruments which could be classed as "eclectic rock", but its not. The album itself, like "Parachutes" which was a masterpeice, is almost ...  Read the complete review

Its high time the highfalutin bands start packing and go back where they came from. The so-called “celeb” music and things like that will meet their doomsday. Things change. I’m glad there’s Coldplay --- for genuine music fans with no-nonsense substance and austerity in their music. Starting off with “Yellow” as ...  Read the complete review

COLDPLAY - A RUSH OF BLOOD TO THE HEAD There comes a time when every music genre becomes saturated. For indie music this saturation seems to be more apparent with every down beat, bland, band churned out. After all there's only a certain amount of things four bored teenagers with two guitars, a bass and a drum kit can do. ...  Read the complete review

OK. First of all, Coldplay have exactly proven the opposite of being a great band. "A Rush of Blood To The Head" is a nice album, but you can easily sense that there's been a lack of creativity on there. Many melodies are not round, they suddenly open at indefinite parts. (You get used to that when you listen in, but it should ...  Read the complete review

Simply amazing. After the big fuss over Parachutes, there were those who doubted whether the follow-up would be any good at all. While this album doesn't exactly break any new ground, it serves as a progression of sorts by the band. A bit more introspective and wide-ranging than their debut, some of the songs on the album recall ...  Read the complete review

The good news is that Coldplay have consolidated their billing as the shining lights most likely to. The downside is that they have yet to mastermind a revelatory record. This is definitely the most awaited record of the year, and I have to say, Coldplay really don't disappoint. Though highly derivative from the previous "Parachutes", "A rush of blood to the head" is a step forward, with a greater confidence in songwriting and the skills to keep off from the cliches of making a ...  Read the complete review
