I got this album on holiday for a fairly cheap price. Previously I had an album called Superunknown by Soundgarden, and I thought that it was alright with some good songs such as Black Hole Sun, and some not so good songs which I will not name for now. But once I got this album A-Sides by Soundgarden I just thought how brilliant it was. I don't find one song in this album boring and I can just consistently listen to it. All the songs are in order of when they are released and all of them are they're best songs. It is basically like a Soundgarden Greatest Hits album. if you want an introduction to the sounds of Soundgarden then this is obviously the best to start with. All the tracks are in the order they were produced and track the progression of the bands sound throughout the years and albums. The earlier stuff like Nothing To Say is far mor raw than the tracks near the end. Purists seem to like these tracks more as they're a real representation of the early seattle music scene. i prefer the later stuff which more people are familiar with.
