all the seeds are in this garden (A Sides - Soundgarden)
Member Name: utero
Advantages: good music, all singles on one album Disadvantages: no real incentive for the fan
if you want an introduction to the sounds of Soundgarden then this is obviously the best to start with. All the tracks are in the order they were produced and track the progression of the bands sound throughout the years and albums. The earlier stuff like Nothing To Say is far mor raw than the tracks near the end. Purists seem to like these tracks more as they're a real representation of the early seattle music scene. i prefer the later stuff which more people are familiar with. Most would have heard Black HOle Sun, I consider this one of their best songs. Their sound gets more polished towards the end of the album. Every song is fine example of rock. The only problem with this album is that is doesn't offer much incentive to the soundgarden fans because the likelyhood is that they'll own every track on the albums. There is one new song which to be honest isn't the best but it's a welcome addtion. it's stil handy thouigh to have all the singles on one cd. Summary: |
