As the title suggests, the album is definitely to be filed under Country. "Pine and stew" and "Stop look and listen" sound like traditional country songs, complete with slide guitar. Others have a slightly different slant, with hints at her zany performance art background. Highlights are "Bopalena", (rockabilly with a distinctive, almost punk, vocal) "Hanky Panky" (perfect for a hoedown, but also a bit on the naughty side), and "Busy being blue". This song is a powerfully sung ballad, and, together with "There you go", and almost justifies lang's jokey early-80s claim that she was a reincarnation ... Read the complete review
