One Day Remains - Alter Bridge

Alter Bridge have been my favourite band ever since I heard they had risen from the ashes of one of Americas best selling bands - Creed. It is basically Creed minus Scott Stapp which is not a bad thing- particularly with the addition of an immense vocalist called Myles Kennedy who used to sing in a band called the Mayfield Four. Their first release was One Day remains and for a debut album it is phenomenal. They are a heavy yet melodic band with meaty guitar riffs which are incredibly powerful for a one guitar band.
