Surprisingly six out of the ten tracks on the album were cover versions but each fit into the whole piece very easily and could not really be told apart from the band-composed material. Premium Review Abominog - Uriah Heep: Heep definately on the rebound (698 words)

Named after a character in Dickens's 'David Copperfield' Uriah Heep released their first album 'Very 'Eavy...Very 'Umble' in 1969 and displayed a very organ and guitar enfused form of rock with even acoustic and jazz elements thrown into the mix for good measure. However, he didn't, and 'Abominog' was a fairly successful album featuring a change of sound ...

One of the greatest metal albums of all time, lots of classics, a cohesive album, good lyrics, music and production A bit hard to swallow at first for some people, some of the guitar solos sound cheesey - but were probably still cool then, and are still exciting

Heavy Metal - 1995

Virtuoso guitar performances at little cost to the more simple pleasures. Can go too far in each direction on occasion.

Gruelling guitar work, frantic drumbeats, and a fine display of barking vocals. The album isn't particularly long, 23 tracks and only just over 20 minutes of music.

Perfect if you want something loud on, Sounds rather 'Black Sabbath' in places . Not everybody's type of music

Second chance to hear Friedman and Becker fighting it out. Disappointingly commercial and unbalanced.
