All of these elements point towards a newfound maturity and competence that has been a long time coming, but now holds the band in good stead for the future. 'About a Burning Fire' achieves the improbable; a Blindside album that is actually worth listening to, even if it's unfortunately the only one from their entire discography that I could recommend. The band has once again indulged in experimentation and for the first time it actually succeeds, supplementing the standard emo-core style with more melodic and symphonic elements in 'Shekina,' a satisfyingly downbeat acoustic performance in 'Roads,' a short, simple and fun punk piece with 'Swallow' and some intriguing electronic influence towards the end of 'Where the Sun Never Dies,' subtle enough to be enjoyable without being overbearing. None really Crap and unrecognisable from the band's Azoic album The Cure's strongest set of songs when released, great arrangements for the most part Primary and Doubt, while not bad songs, stick out artistically String sections demonstrate a willingness to innovate. It's tedious and cacophonous emo-hardcore. Superb thrash-punk throughout, classic None Has plenty of songs that can easily be related to life in general.
