Reason To Believe - Pennywise

Premium Review I've Reason to Believe This Album Isn't Very Good (1062 words)

is Pennywise. In late 2006 the bands guitarist Fletcher Dragge predicted that the album would be released in the summer of 2007, but summer came and went with no new Pennywise album having emerged. In September 2007 the band then announced that they had around 60 new songs to choose from and that they would therefore be spending the next few months choosing the best of the lot for inclusion on the album. Fifteen tracks are contained on the Reason to Believe album, and if these are the best of the 60 that they had available then I really hate to think what the worst were like. This is not a bad album from Pennywise by any means, but really it has very few highlights to ...

Land Of The Free - Pennywise

Premium Review Toned Down But Still Great! (1134 words)

Blink 182, Wheatus, Offspring. To name a few of the bands that could take a page or two out of the book of Pennywise. Pennywise are the original punk band of today. Rather than go for infectious poppy tunes like Blink 182, Pennywise stick to anarchist lyrics and heavy guitar. They do the world of punk justice. Unlike other bands who call it punk just to sell records. I'll do a track-by-track rundown of the album, giving my opinins on them all. I can assure you this is a great album, despite the fact that it is possibly there softest sounding one, due to the toning down of the guitars. 1. Time Marches On - "We can only regress as Time ...

Straight Ahead - Pennywise

Premium Review I can't believe it! (151 words)

Rating:

album that brought Pennywise crashing into the mainstream, and you can see why. There is not a single song on the album that I would consider to be filler rather than a brilliant track in its own right. If you've been thinking about getting this album, but just can't decide, than get it. If you like Pennywise, I also ...

Accomplished. Atmospheric. Evocative. Stunning vocals. None to speak of.

The title track is magnificent, Closer 'Mississippi' is also pretty darn fine Little or nothing else of interest on offerFrustrating hints of potential revealed but generally not realised

Probably can be picked up for a fiver now None

His most pleasent songs Not all of his best work

Smooth without being sappy, melodic without being poppy.Really are a refreshingly different band. In one or two of the songs, the spanish guitar solos can be a little self indulgent and go on a bit.

Not a bad track anywhere only three discs, could have been more
