One of the last albums released by Bruce Dickinson, ‘Accident of Birth’ represents the peak of the singer’s ‘solo’ triumph: this excellence is due in no small part however to those potentially overlooked through the term ‘solo,’ as the completely new band put together in 1996 brought top quality British heavy metal right up-to-date, something that Bruce’s previous band members in Iron Maiden failed to do until the current decade. A great new sound and approach from simply one of the best bands of our time! None- could this get any better? Okay, a couple of tracks might sound better live but still.....

Enjoyably dark musical experience, Excellent guitars and vocals, Great concept Not too musically impressiveVery few 'classic' songs

Interesting and involving collection of songs, Talented musicians all round, Thought-provoking lyrics and even better vocals Some tracks sound similar or less impressiveNot as diverse as the previous albumNot to everyone's taste

Varied styles are all successful, Incredible vocals and guitars, An epic conclusion Some may find the set structure unappealingA couple of relatively weak links

More energetic and powerful metal performance than the last E.P. Less material.

Some more old-school heavy metal for you. It's not particularly good.

Star Trek - Soundtrack
A brilliant sci-fi score classic that retains its freshness after all these years Over-play of main title music lessens impact today

Star Trek II: The Wrath Of Khan - Soundtrack
A windswept sci-fi score of great power and swashbuckling energy Less than stellar sound quality

Star Trek III: Search For Spock - Soundtrack
A fitting continuation to the music established in Trek II with a more thoughtful air Cheap sound quality and overall lack of energy fails to retain momentum throughout

Star Trek IV - Soundtrack
Catchy main title But otherwise nothing to really get excited about

Star Trek V - Soundtrack
Goldsmith's best Trek besides the original with lots of thematic grandeur Rather too much usage of the downbeat Adversity theme which is not terribly interesting
