With the introduction of subtle electronic elements, Crematory's sound continues to expand and improve, making for one of the finest gothic metal releases of the nineties and the band's finest work. The mood is predominantly mellow, led by Katrin Goger's ever-more-talented keyboards, but songs such as 'I Never Die' still maintain the harder metal elements, this song in particular boasting elements reminiscent of Fear Factory. The vocals are possibly the highlight, which is an unusual statement for me, especially when they're a little soppy.
