A little less extreme.
The Score...an Epic Journey - Epica
Something extra for Epica fans and soundtrack collectors.
Not a 'proper' album, lacking the rock instruments entirely.
Turis Fratyr - Equilibrium
More great folk metal.
Sounds a lot like other bands.
The Divine Conspiracy - Epica
Heavier, angrier, more gripping.
Boring ballads still ruin things.
The Phantom Agony - Epica
Creative use of vocals.
Symphonic elements lack restraint.
A Virgin And A Whore - Eternal Tears Of Sorrow
Varied and distinctive melodic death metal.
Keyboards get a little irritating, and guitar riffs are mostly just for the sake of rhythm.
Solitude Dominance Tragedy - Evergrey
Great atmosphere, and prog that doesn't show off (apart from the vocals).
Gets a little samey.
Bonded By Blood - Exodus
Strong, archetypical thrash metal.
Repetitive and dated.
En Their Medh Riki Fara - Falkenbach
Apocalyptic Viking metal, with that appealing home-grown atmosphere.
Black metal elements are fairly standard.
