THE ALBUM is the title of legendary Sweedish pop group ABBA's album.
The album consists of 10 tracks which i will review.

The opening song EAGLE contains fantastic instrumental work which brings in the vocals that are so smooth and mellow.

My favourite song on the album is TAKE A CHANCE ON ME. The song is so fast paced and the repeating backing of 'take a chance' means the song has a fantastic rhythm. The chorus is great to singalong to.

ONE MAN ONE WOMAN features some corny lyrics that is made up for by the fantastic energy and the instrumental suppoert which brings the music to life.

NAME OF THE GAME is a slow song though the chorus bursts to life and the piano work gives the music some great melodies and a feel good factor.

MOVE ON is an energetic track that features beautiful melodies and vocals that are mellow.

HOLE IN YOUR SOUL is a song that gets better after hearing it a few times and contains lovely vocals and lyrics that tell a good story.

THANK YOU FOR THE MUSIC contains some of the most beautiful lyrics ever that do as the title says. This is a song that everyone can sing along with and is a classic.

I WONDER starts slow though builds to a chorus full of vigour and great vocals with even better instrumental work.

I'M A MARIONETTE is another fun ong where the melodies are beautiful and the vocals bringing pure energy.

The last track is a slightly different version of THANK YOU FOR THE MUSIC.

Overall, this is a fun album. ABBA songs are always uplifting with lovely vocals and instrumental work. The lyrics tell good stories and the energy provided is immense. At times the songs are cheesy, but always in a positive way. There are a good mix of fun dance songs and beautifully mellow songs. It would have been nice for their to have been a couple more songs as well.
