The Hermes House Band are not widely discussed in the UK, which is possibly because they have only ever had one hit single, that being 'Country Roads.' They went to great lengths to come up with a creative album title, settling in the end for 'The Album.' Highlights 'Country Roads' is on here, think of a hoedown, think Woolpackers doing the Hillbillyrock and you're on the right track. The vocals are fine, the sentiment is sweet but the song is very novelty. You might want to play it at the end of the night to round off a disco.
