Where is Janet Jackson and what is she up to? I saw a picture of her looking like a vagrant in one of the celebrity magazines my wife reads. As usual there are many rumours going round regarding her absence from the music scene, and the one I have heard most recently is that she is pregnant by well known R&B producer Jermaine Dupris, and she wants to go through the pregnancy away from the glare of the spotlight. Now, whether this is down a protective maternal instinct, or a desire that the media never see her looking less than perfect remains to be seen. I would not say that I am a major fan of Janet Jackson, but once in a while she seems to release a single ... Read the complete review

Janet Jackson has always gotten a lot of flak merely for her name - some say she uses it to gain fame. Some chastise her for being related to world-class screwjob Michael Jackson (I?d feel sorry for her, not hate her). And others merely sneer at the fact that, if the Feel It Boy video is any sort of disturbing omen, Janet?s breasts seem to be caught in a continental drift - they?re slowly migrating towards opposite sides of her body, soon to end up lodged in her armpits. But I digress. The years have started to take their toll on The darling Jackson - having dealt with depression and deeper physiological issues on The Velvet Rope, having humped a ... Janet Jackson, the sister of Micheal Jackson, has long been a great solo artist. She's had many albums and singles and is still only in her thirties. But unfortunately this is not one of her better albums. With 20 songs on the album you would have thought it would be a great album. But 6 of them are interludes and the rest bar three are crap! The three good ones are the three she's released, 'All for you', 'Someone to call my lover' and 'It doesn't matter. These are excellent songs and that main reason i bought the album. All For You; Janet's first release after a big break. a good R'n'B song but was beaten to the ... Read the complete review

They are remarkable things, Janet Jackson's melons. According to my other Dooyoo half - Broksababe - the duo are, quite rightly, almost distracting in their dimensions, and she has no need to feel jealous in that department. So it's left to me, EnglishPatient, to brave these oversized forces of nature and see past them enough to judge the actual musical content herein. Does it seem like yesterday when Michael Jackson's kid sister first hit the charts with What Have You Done For Me Lately? Well, that was 15 years ago, folks. Yes, FIFTEEN YEARS. In that time, Janet has long since emerged from the shadow of big bro's poptastic achievements and ... Read the complete review

I'd never really been a big fan of Janet until last summer when I bought the Doesn't Really Matter single whilst on holiday in the USA, and fell in love with the song. I wasn't overly impressed with the All For You single, but I decided to get the album anyway in the hope that I would find some tracks that I liked. I'm also pretty certain that quite a few singles to be lifted from this album will get lots of airplay, and the tunes will get stuck in my head! The foundation of 'All For You' is layed with slick and commercial tracks, such as the title track itself, the disco flavored 'Come On Get Up' and 'Feels So Right'. ... Read the complete review
