Advantages: Great songs
Disadvantages: Nothing
Kelly Clarkson, winner of the original American Idol and arguably the most successful of American Idol winners, is back with her fourth album and is better than ever. I started listening to her when I heard Since You've Been Gone on the TV and really enjoyed Breakaway, her second album. I know she took a huge risk with her third album, My December, and haven't listened to the full album. Now she's back with All I Ever Wanted and, as far as I'm concerned, she's back to her Breakaway best.
1. My Life Would Suck Without You
The first single off the album and in the same vein as Since You've Been Gone, it's incredibly catchy and a great first song.
2. I Do Not Hook Up
Written by Katy Perry, I Do Not Hook Up is the second single released off the album and is just as catchy and just a good as My Life Would Suck Without You.
3. Cry
Cry is a ballad which would make a great single at some point. I love when Kelly sings ballad-type songs and this is no disappointment.
4. Don't Let Me Stop You
Back with the catchy song and catchy lyrics, Don't Let Me Stop You is one of my favourite tracks off the album.
5. All I Ever Wanted
The album title and a song about all she ever wanted - you!
6. Already Gone
My absolute favourite song off this album, and probably my favourite of Kelly's period. Written by Ryan Tedder (accomplished song-writer and singer with OneRepublic) and Kelly with vocals from Tedder it's a brilliantly sung song.
7. If I Can't Have You
The beginning of the song sounds awfully like Miley Cyrus' Fly On The Wall - and when I first heard it I thought "Why is Miley on a Kelly album?" but it isn't Fly on the Wall and is actually If I Can't Have You. Fast paced and catchy.
8. Save You
Another Ryan Tedder co-written song, a mid-tempo song which I enjoyed.
9. Whyyawannabringmedown?
Fast, fast, fast is all I can say about Whyyawannabringmedown - incredibly catchy.
10. Long Shot
Another of my favourites is a Katy Perry written song. It has a great tune to it and Kelly's voice suits it well, I'd love to hear Katy's version as well though just for comparison!
11. Impossible
I like Impossible, it's slow but I like the backtrack to it.
12. Ready
Probably one of the weaker songs on the album but still good to sing a long to.
13. I Want You
I love I Want You, it sounds like something from decades ago and it's a really good song with a great beat.
14. If No One Will Listen
A bit like Beautiful Disaster, this is a slow and sad song.
Overall it's a brilliant album, one of my favourites. I can listen to it on my iPod again and again. Kelly is definitely back to her best!
Summary: Kelly Clarkson back to her Breakaway best!
