There seems to be an overload of boybands at the moment, and whilst I admit to be being a Bros and Take That fan in my younger days, the majority of those around at the moment, such as Busted are just too young for me, and their music just does not does it for me! The only bands labelled with the boy band tag who I do like are Westlife along with Blue. Now for the music snobs amongst you, I know you will be pulling faces and claiming that their manufactured music is evil, I say, I know they are not award winning songwriters, and their success is as much about their image and looks as it is about the music, but that is ok, it is sometimes nice just to have something to ...

After three hit singles including two number 1's, Blue finally released their debut album. I decided to get this album after hearing all the hype about this great new boy band called Blue. Blue are Lee, Duncan, Antony and Simon. I was expecting to hear some cheesy ballads like the type that Westlife would sing but I was pleasantly surprised when I heard R 'n' B and mid tempo songs. Unfortunately I also heard some ballads which I think boy bands should avoid as usually they are dull and I skip them. This is a relatively new group and is made up of Duncan, Lee, Ant and Simon. This is their debut album All Rise. With the release of three tracks from this album being relative hits for them they have got off to a flying start. The boys themselves are from London and they have been classed as the hottest new act of 2001. Most of their tracks follow the R&B genre. As they are quite new I know only little of them so I will go on to talk about their debut album All Rise Track Listings 1. All Rise This is one of the best songs on this album with a mix of pop and slow and funky R&B makes this one of their better songs. Easy listening ...

Unveiling The Essence - Cirith Gorgor
Creative melodic black metal for black metal fans who hate melodic black metal.
May not be stylistically consistent enough for traditional listeners.
Relentless Recurrence - ChthoniC
Pleasant and considerate melodic black metal.
Lack of cultural identity.
Sirens - It Dies Today
The melodic vocal moments are quite well sung out.
The sound created here is entirely contrived and every song sounds the same.
More Adventurous - Rilo Kiley
The magnificent Jenny Lewis; the songwriting.
Slow and unimpressive songs in the middle of the record
Eye Of The Sun - Cloven Hoof
Average melodic heavy metal.
Misleading reunion, and nothing special.
Conspiracy In Mind - Communic
Some great modern progressive thrash.
Sounds exactly the same as Nevermore.
Born In The Uk - Badly Drawn Boy
Pop Rock - 2006
Feels Good To Me - Bill Bruford
Pop - 2005
Army Of Anyone - Army of Anyone
Reasonable enough modern rock.
Doesn't stand out.

Consistent.
Too consistent.
