There seems to be an overload of boybands at the moment, and whilst I admit to be being a Bros and Take That fan in my younger days, the majority of those around at the moment, such as Busted are just too young for me, and their music just does not does it for me! The only bands labelled with the boy band tag who I do like are Westlife along with Blue. Now for the music snobs amongst you, I know you will be pulling faces and claiming that their manufactured music is evil, I say, I know they are not award winning songwriters, and their success is as much about their image and looks as it is about the music, but that is ok, it is sometimes nice just to have something to ... Before they split up, I liked Blue (along with quite a few boybands in general!) and had at least two of their albums. This was their first album and I have to say that I'm not as keen on this as one of the later ones (Guilty) so there aren't many tracks that have actually made it onto my iPod. The ones that have are: ***All Rise*** This was their debut single and got a lot of radio airplay at the time. It is quite an upbeat pop song with lyrics that make references to the courtroom ("All rise"; "you're on the stand"; "the jury will decide" etc.). As far as I can tell, the solo vocals appear to be split between Simon and Lee. ... Read the complete review

After three hit singles including two number 1's, Blue finally released their debut album. I decided to get this album after hearing all the hype about this great new boy band called Blue. Blue are Lee, Duncan, Antony and Simon. I was expecting to hear some cheesy ballads like the type that Westlife would sing but I was pleasantly surprised when I heard R 'n' B and mid tempo songs. Unfortunately I also heard some ballads which I think boy bands should avoid as usually they are dull and I skip them. I hope by the end of this review I'll have given you more reasons as to why you should by this album. 1. All Rise : the debut single which I think is ... Read the complete review

"All Rise" was released late in 2001 and came as the debut for the UK boy band Blue. Consisting of Lee Ryan, Anthony Costa, Simon Webb and Duncan James, the Pop act (who tended to favour the R&B side of music shot to fame as their first single came out and they made an impact as one of few acts to last during a period when the music industry when through change and boy bands phased out. 1. "All Rise" I felt that his was a great way to kick the album off as we see them ripping through their debut single and a tune that seems to round up exactly what they were as an act with a Pop-R&B jam that had a little club appeal and ... This is a relatively new group and is made up of Duncan, Lee, Ant and Simon. This is their debut album All Rise. With the release of three tracks from this album being relative hits for them they have got off to a flying start. The boys themselves are from London and they have been classed as the hottest new act of 2001. Most of their tracks follow the R&B genre. As they are quite new I know only little of them so I will go on to talk about their debut album All Rise Track Listings 1. All Rise This is one of the best songs on this album with a mix of pop and slow and funky R&B makes this one of their better songs. Easy listening ... Read the complete review
