      A sensational album!

All shook up the album is yet another CD released by the specialist Elvis record label FTD, it is a CD that reflects the show that Elvis put on at midnight on the 26th of August 1969.

Elvis was fresh from his 1968 comeback tour and more ready to give his music his all than ever before and you can hear and feel that in every track on this album.

Elvis had reached a stage in his career where in the eyes of his fans and in fact most of the public, he could do no wrong.

Instead of relying on the fact he could do no wrong and releasing any old rubbish and just turning up at gigs to collect the cash like many other artists would have, Elvis was performing better than ever before.

The energy and the superb vocals on this album are second to none and the great man just simply belts out track after brilliant track, stretching his vocals across the full range of his music from ballads to rock and roll.

There are many great tracks on this album with the title track being one of the best and rubberneckin and in the ghetto being close behind.

The lyrics to the title track start "wella blessa my soula whatsa wrong with me, I`m itchin like a man on a fuzzy tree..... (They don't write them like they used to)! These were proper rock and roll lyrics and Elvis was and still is a proper rock and roll star!

      THE TRACKS:

Blue Suede Shoes, I Got A Woman, All Shook Up, Love Me Tender, Jailhouse Rock / Don't Be Cruel, Heartbreak Hotel, Hound Dog, I Can't Stop Loving You, Mystery Train / Tiger Man, Monologue, Baby What You Want Me To Do, Runaway, Are You Lonesome Tonight? (Laughing version), Rubberneckin', Yesterday / Hey Jude, Introductions, In The Ghetto, This Is The Story, Suspicious Minds, Can't Help Falling In Love.

      All Shook Up

After his 'comeback special' in 1968 where Elvis performed to a live audience for the first time in almost a decade, he was champing at the bit to perform live more. This led to a series of appearances in Las Vegas in the summer of 1969, and of course he appeared in Vegas and on tour all of the US from that time right up to the end of his life in 1977.

ALL SHOOK UP is a CD released by the specialist Elvis label FTD, and documents the show which was performed at midnight on 26 August 1969. This is a time when Elvis was putting his all into every performance and it shows on every track on this disc. Such songs as DON'T BE CRUEL and I CAN'T STOP LOVING YOU really show the strength of Elvis' Voice. This, as with most of his recordings, is definitely an essential purchase for anyone with even a passing interest in Elvis' music.
