      Mexican electro pop / rock

I'm not sure how I first came across this album but it definitely doesn't cover the Cubin & Latin World Music section that dooyoo have put them in. Sure, they are Mexican and sing in Spanish for a couple of songs but that is where the Latin connection finishes.

Outside of the Americas, they are mostly known for appearing as a soundtrack on Fifa 09. Plastilina Mosh have a sort of joyful and relatively cheesy sound that straddles the borders of rock, pop and electo punk whilst all the time sounding relatively non Mexican and like they wish they had access to Eurovision (I suppose they could represent someone else actually!)

They do enough to be catchy but it's a poppy sound - if you were a fan of The Strokes, The Hives and at the same time enjoyed "Macarena" then it's likely you'll be happy to get jiggy with it to tracks like: "I want to let you know", "Toll Free", "Pervert Pop Song", guitar is often quite funky, there's nothing particularly amazing or interesting going on but it's the kind of music that most people feel they can enjoy. I doubt I'll give it a listen again but I had it in front of me - so I thought.. why not!
