 ... got a hint of and a good dose of funkiness in it. I could not detect too much of Latin influence to be honest. The songs seem to have been prepared by some commercial guy, Arriba Diciembre, for example, literally starts and goes on with a tata ta , lal la, we can all do that. Yes, ok, they are funky and innovative, in that song, for example, they go through the 12 months of the year adding a few words for each month in Italian, but there is no flavour, it is the kind of song that you listen today and will forget tomorr...more

Plastilina Mosh is a Mexican band, and although Mexico is notfar from Cuba, the decision of Dooyoo to label this album "Cuban & Latin" is questionable at least, and probably incorrect. Alejandro Rosso and Jonas Gonzalez are the 2 main guys here and I would say that their style is rock, a cheesy one too. I'm not sure how I first came across this album but it definitely doesn't cover the Cubin & Latin World Music section that dooyoo have put them in. Sure, they are Mexican and sing in Spanish for a couple of songs but that is where the Latin connection finishes. Outside of the Americas, they are mostly known for appearing as a soundtrack on Fifa 09. Plastilina Mosh have a sort of joyful and relatively cheesy sound that straddles the borders of rock, pop and electo punk whilst all the time sounding relatively non Mexican and like they wish they had access to Eurovision (I suppose they could represent someone else actually!)
