There are some genuinely great tracks here but DJ Yoda allows his 'fun' side to come out to play more than ... more ... once. We've all stood in the playground as a kid and made our coat zips make that noise that sounds like a DJ scratching, haven't we? Try it now, move your zip up and down a few times. You love it! Maybe it was just me and some of my mates doing this but DJ Yoda makes a whole track out of that noise on track 18 (Zipper Scratch). It sounds much better than you would expect, believe it or not. He also lets loose on track 20 (Duellin' Banjos) which samples the 'banjo scene' from the film 'Deliverance' and scratches along...more |
