The best known track is 'Like a Hurricane', one of Young's most popular releases, it's an 8 minute diatribe, soaring with a dirty guitar refrain & provides a perfect vehicle for Young to flex his guitar muscles.

'American Stars 'n' Bars' was originally released in 1977, although it subsequently went out of print & was unavailable for many years, Young authorised the re-release of the record in 2003, allowing it to make it's CD debut along with other notable Young albums (including 'On The Beach' & 'Hawks & Doves').
