Advantages: Different, Superb performance, Excellent songwriting

Disadvantages: Odd, Pretencious?

Amnesiac, or as it has been called by some 'Kid B', follows in the footsteps of Kid A in terms of style, but the style has also evolved to be even more thoughtful and melodic than before. Yorke's nasal vocals aren't what you would traditionally say made good rock/indie vocals, but when backed by Radiohead's unique wandering guitars and pianos, they work perfectly.

I particularly like 'the Pyramid Song', which must go down as one of Radiohead's best tracks to date. It has an almost haunting quality, and it sticks in your head for days.

'Amnesiac' shows how far Radiohead have come since 'OK Computer', which was an excellent album, but completely different. Radiohead's last two albums have been like nothing that has gone before them- and even their critics have to admit that they are certianly 'different'.

Radiohead's strange style is mainly down to Thome Yorke's (who writes the tracks- and sings- or moans- however you want to look at it) 'unique' personality. He was recently reported in NME to be saying that he is being watched by MI5 (I think- I could have imagined it)! However, like him or not- he's an amazing songwriter.

Yeah bit short, but I agree with the opinion. Course I only gave it 4 stars in my op, but I'm extremley critical!

i agree - Radiohead's latest stuff is pretty amazing...it's a shame that more bands can't break out of their stereotype noose and experiment
