An Ocean Between Us by As I Lay dying is a very solid Metal-core album and is done very well. There is a noticible progression from the previous album but it isnt that much different either. It does have more melodic moments (The Sound of Truth is a good example) and also more heavier moments (Nothing Left and Within Destruction). The addition of instrumental intro tracks helps to break up the album a bit more. There is a lot more clean singing which i think is great because it brings more contrast to the songs.
