Here we have a collection of Wildhearts songs recorded at various live gigs and BBC sessions from 1993-1996. I do not really see the point of this CD. It is produced by the BBC and I'm not sure the Wildhearts themselves actually wanted it released. I think it just exists to make money for the record company.
The recordings aren't too bad and the choice of songs included is perfect. But if I want to listen to these tracks I'll go listen to the originals. The handful of tracks from the Reading Festival have a lot of energy and are closer to what the band are truly like live than most of the other recordings on this cd.
There is a very enjoyable cover of Elvis Costello's Pump It UP on this album, which is worth checking out and doesn't really appear on any other Wildhearts releases.
