... breakdown piece in the middle and, again, has an angsty appeal to it which made it a good accompanying single to 'And Love Said No' for the release of this collection. The video, directed by the band's number one fan and buddy, the skateboarder Bam Margera, isn't one of their best but puts more of an emphasis on Ville's attempt at a strong vocal performance and the band's so called hardcore attitude. 'Join Me', a track that myself and my Brother have always argued, would have been a good track for the updated version o...more

Crowned Review And Love Said No... The Best Of Him 1997-2004 - HIM: Ville Valo's Lonely Hearts Club Band (3532 words)

This is a really good collection of songs from a great artist. It has all of the best songs and there isn't a bad track on the album. The highlights hae to be "And love said no" and "Join me in death". It is seventeen tracks long and over an hour. The music is best described as love metal and in my opinion nothing sounds like HIM. Ville Valo (Vocalist) is a wonderful singer and there is no one like him. He really makes the songs his own and you can really hear the emotion in them. I think that's what makes this album so ...  Read the complete review
