Halfway Between Here And There - Rx Bandits
by rleigh - written on 01/04/08 (Very useful, 46 readings)
Rating:
even pop punk also. It clocks in at just under 45 minutes in length, a fun and upbeat offering of absolute ska fun. Never is this album half hearted, always RX Bandits smash through this album with great intensity and a high level of expertise. The music has been finely crafted and is pulled off to terrific effect here in an album that is never anything short of sensational. I love each and every one of the eleven tracks here and can not recommend them highly enough. RX Bandits at times possess skacore traits in that their music does sporadically introduce an element of shouting and screaming. This side of the band is kept to a minimum however, and for the most part ...

The Resignation - Rx Bandits

Rating:
In 2003 RX Bandits released this The Resignation album through Drive-Thru Records. It was their fourth studio album as a band, and their second since changing their name from The Pharmaceutical Bandits to RX Bandits. Containing twelve tracks and clocking in at just under an hour in length, The Resignation is an excellent album from the band and is one that I feel contains a large number of RX Bandits best tracks. The first time that I listened to the album The Resignation I have to admit that I was not overly impressed. It s a definite grower though and after I gave it a couple of listens found myself to be greatly enjoying this album. It s now been a good few ...

Progress - Rx Bandits
by rleigh - written on 03/04/08 (Very useful, 47 readings)
Rating:
When this Progress album was released in 2001, the type of music that RX Bandits produce was greatly popular and in order to try and capitalise on the success of the Ska Punk genre the band here released a more pop heavy album than they ever had done before or in fact have done since. Less Than Jake and Reel Big Fish were always the leading names in the scene, RX Bandits failed to ever catapult to that sort of level of fame however but nonetheless had (and in fact still do have) a very loyal and dedicated fan base. Progress was not a great commercial success, nor did it receive any real rave reviews from the leading names in the press, it is however an excellent album ...
