Good for existing Strokes fans and also a good starting point for new fans

Bought this album summer '11 after already owning and loving the previous 3 albums by The Strokes. I would put Angles in second place behind Is This It? (This is more down to the benefits of Is This It? than Angles being bad). The album cover is great and really stands out which is important as I assure you that you will keep coming back to this album for years to come. It starts really well with Machu Pichu and it sounds like the Strokes at their best with sharp lyrics and great guitar riffs. Setting the bar so high could set you up for disappointment but Under Cover of Darkness keeps it going excellently in the same style. It is impossible not to tap your fingers for these two. The album then gets more sombre as You're So Right speaks about giving up the rigours of city life and it sounds more like 3rd album First Impressions of Earth. The rest of the songs continue the classic mix that Strokes fans will be used to.

One disadvantage of this album is that it doesn't really sound that different to other albums by The Strokes but that's hardly a bad thing as they weren't exactly rubbish to start with!

      Best Song - Machu Pichu
Worst Song - Call Me Back
