lyrics. However, before their "breakthrough" album, My Brain Hurts , they released this 26-track album of furious fast (and stupid) pop punk. Anyone familiar with later efforts by Screeching Weasel (such as the two Fat Wreck releases, "Bark like a dog" and "Television City Dream") will probably think this is a completely different band. Many of the songs clock in at just over a minute, with the longest just reaching the three-minute mark. band who had a big hand in influencing many bands after them. Some of the songs on this album are amazing, others are quite average but that?s pretty typical from Screeching Weasel . This one ranks pretty highly amongst their other albums although Anthem For A New Tomorrow is probably better. Musically, they?re not the most talented band you?d come across but the twin guitars add a lot of variation to the plain (and tragically over-used) power chords. Its Ben Weasel?s singing and the way he writes the songs make Screeching Weasel a great band and this album is pretty typical of his work. Im giving this Five ...
