Advantages: Rocky, unique, edgy, catchy. .there really is no-one else like them. Worth a listen.

Disadvantages: It's easy to get the words wrong so be careful when singing this really loud at parties.

Inerpol's 'Antics', is a really brilliant album. Produced by Matador Records in 2004, Antics is a refreshing change to most other bands out at that time. The album has a unique sound with lyrics that are quite honestly wacky! It took me hours of repeat listening to eventually learn what the proper words are instead of making up my own ones like 'we smile and we slow dance something something in the stars'. The proper lyrics, though unusual, are much more charming than what I interpreted them to be.

It doesn't happen very often, but all 10 songs on this album are as equally good as each other and there really is no slump or weak point in the album. The tunes are really catchy and once I hear the song Evil, I cant stop singing "Rosemary...ah" (and with a definite Harold Bishop 'ah'). The only annoying thing about it is that it seems to finish too soon (which obviously is a good thing).

The sound is jagged and definitely like a controlled startled kind of indie rock. I'm not at all exaggerating when I say that this album (and indeed the band) are really unique and I cant think of anyone else like them.

Summary: Brilliant and totally satisfying.
