In 2008 Rise Against returned with their first album in 2 years, Appeal To Reason. Although this might seem like a weird time to finally review the album, I have chosen to do it now as I am seeing them live on Friday and I've been listening to the album again as I am sure that the majority of the gig will come from this one. In my reviews I sometimes struggle to find the words to write down what I want to say and I think this is definitely going to be one of those occasions as although I like this album, I also find it disappointing. Another great album from rise against. The album itself is great but i feel it doesn't beat the The Sufferer in the Witness as a whole but features some great new songs such as auidcence of one, re-education, savior and collapse in my own opinion. With this band i feel that there's a very powerful message behind every song they make, which shows how much effort and time the put into this album, They don't have the catchiest of songs but are a cut above every other band, the songs. Two years after their last album The Sufferer & The Witness, Rise Against return with their new album Appeal to Reason. I've been eagerly anticipating this album since it was announced in May 2007 that Rise Against planned to head back to the studio. I expected a great album full of heavy, fast songs that Rise Against are known for. Did the album meet those expectations? Kind of. Let me explain.
