One of the greatest Rock albums ever (Appetite For Destruction - Guns n' Roses)

Advantages: Amazing Lyrics, guitars, drums Disadvantages: Cant think of any This album had me hooked from the very first time I heard the opening riff to Welcome To The Jungle. A lot has been written about how the album reflects the society GnR were surrounded by at the time and I think it has inspired some brilliant songs. The album does not have a weak song on it, which is a rarity nowadays. If you like amazing guitar solos, strong drum beats with brilliant lyrics laid over the top and sung with a unique voice this is the album for you. The album is also quite eclectic with both heavy fast paced songs to slower melodic ones and the all time great Sweet Child O Mine. I dare anyone to find a better song to drive to on a hot sunny day with the windows down and volume up than Paradise City. Everyone who listens to this album will recognise at least one song as even to this day the album is still played in pubs, clubs, sporting events and many ocutdown of all time great albums the world over. My only regret is I wasnt born long enough a go to see the original band line up perform this brilliant album. Summary: Well worth getting and listening to. |
