I have always had a soft spot for this lot, since the release of 'Barbie Girl' they have held a place in my heart as purveyers of fine pop music. This album is a collection of some of their best remixes.

Who are they:

Scandinavian popstars comprising Lene, Rene, Claus and Soren. Lene and Rene provide the vocals.

On this album:

It gets off to a good start with a remix of 'Cartoon Heroes.' The poppy flavour of the original is kept, while adding a more dance friendly streak. The vocals are intact and this is a brash and slightly childish piece of pop, but it is playful at the same time.

Highlights:

Head for 'Doctor Jones [Metro's 7" Edit]' which takes the original and adds a dancefloor twist. The remix provides a stronger kick drum and gives it more of motivational rhythm. Luckily, they leave in the cheesy chorus. Dip into 'Good Morning Sunshine [Love to Infinity's Radio Mix]' which is a joyous piano driven affair. Love To Infinity often turn in house based remixes and this would sit quite well with some of their other stuff. The song is not as annoying as a lot of Aqua's others and is remixed with style. One to warm up a set with! My other recommendation here is 'Roses Are Red [Club Version]' which is a euro adreneline rush of plinky plonky synths and cute vocals. This will remain stuck in your head all day.

Overall:

There are seventeen tracks on here which gives you plenty of playing time, though a lot of the remixes are of the same songs, so it can be repetitious. Aqua fans should enjoy it though and the artwork is as bright as ever
