...Introduction... This is the fourth album from the grammy award winning artist Alicia Keys. "As I Am" was released on 23rd November 2007. She broke a record for most opening week sales for a female R&B artist with an amazing 742,000 copies of the album being sold in its first week. It also debuted at number one in the world album charts with a staggering 876,000 copies worldwide. Do people really need to ask if an Alicia Keys album is worth buying? I suppose people may wonder can she truly keep on delivering us such beautiful heart-felt music and the answer is yes! For me the standout track on the album is "No One". It feels like Alicia is really straining to hit those notes and thats what makes it so listenable. You truly feel that she is screaming out to send out her message that "no one can take away what I feel". The lyrics are beautiful and the music has a catchy beat. I love Alicia Keys. She is a beautiful and talented lady who no matter what was thrown at her, held onto her dream and made it. "As I am" is the third in the row of excellent Alicia Keys albums. The production on every track hits the spot and along with the almost rawness of her voice and keys the tunes on the album rock! One of my favourites "no one" is so because as well as blasting it out loud for all to hear at home on my stereo, I heard her play live on a variety of television shows and the passion and feeling she put into each performance made me appreciate and love the song even more.
