When White Zombie hit the scene at the beginning of the '90s, their following was still mostly underground. "La Sexorcisto: Devil Music Volume I" was a moderate success, and "Thunder Kiss '65" was its biggest hit. Earlier album attempts have been described as "unmemorable", but thankfully the band kept plugging away. This album broke White Zombie through into the mainstream. To be honest, they deserved every ounce of success they got with this album, too; nowhere else could you hear danceable metal with a heavy instrumental line, yet samples and a hell of a beat. White Zombie frontman Rob Zombie (who later disbanded the ... Read the complete review

Originally released on 11th April 1995 Astro Creep 2000 marked the fourth and final studio album that would be produced by the band White Zombie. White Zombie was a fantasy horror based band fronted by now solo artist Rob Zombie. The music on this and their other album mainly revolve around the horror themes and include a large number of samples from various horror films included in them. The first example of this can be heard straight away as the CD's starting up with the line "Perhaps you had better start from the beginning" which is from the film "To the Devil a Daughter" a film starring Christopher Lee. This theme of samples continues ... Read the complete review

I had vaguely heard of White Zombie but I had been a bit apprehensive of buying any of their stuff (mainly because I hadn't heard much of it!). However after reading the other review of White Zombie on this site I decided to have a listen. Luckily I managed to pick up a copy of Astro-creep 2000 2nd hand (see price!) and what a cracking album it is! The subtitle of the album is "songs of love, destruction and other synthetic delusions of the electric head" which just about sums it up really. The album is hard and relentless but always easy to listen to and I guarantee you will go about singing the songs to yourself for ... Read the complete review

I first heard White Zombie the night before seeing them at the Monsters of rock festival. THEY ROCKED THAT PLACE! I've been a huge fan ever since ( apart from the remix albums) This is by far their best album (not including Robzombies solo album) and seeing as they split its their last too. The higlights of this album have to be Super Charger Heaven (or Devilman, if you know it by its chorus) and More Human than Human. Most of white Zombies music seems to be based on a film or some other tv programme. In the case of Super Charger heaven its inspired by the anime film Devilman and is one of my favorite songs. As is More human than Human, Its a rockin stompfest of ... Read the complete review

Nostradamus - Judas Priest
Long, intriguing, different.
Bulked out by too many interludes and slow songs.
Point Of Entry - Judas Priest
Mellow, for those who found 'British Steel' too oppressive.
Mellow, which is boring.
Demolition - Judas Priest
One or two memorable moments, Owens isn't a bad singer.
Slow and tedious, lacks any originality.
Even If It Kills Me - Motion City Soundtrack
A great mix of fast paced catchy songs and slower ballads
None
Ghost Opera - Kamelot
Violin used well in numerous songs, and band crawls out of the gloom of the previous album.
Songs don't stand out, and offer very little.
I Walk Among You - Iced Earth
The new song is pretty good, if nothing we haven't heard before.
Pointless overdubs of average songs with a copycat singer.
Jugulator - Judas Priest
Some effective heavy metal, with a more modern approach.
Frequently dull.
Karma - Kamelot
Arguably perfects the band's symphonic metal style.
Too cheesy on occasion, and ballads interrupt the flow.
Killing Machine - Judas Priest
Pioneers the famous Judas Priest style, with some more classic songs.
Could have been 'British Steel' with a bit more care and time.
Lunar Strain - In Flames
Strong melodic death metal in its original incarnation.
Awkward incorporation of folk elements at times, and a few too many short songs.
