Advantages: excellent songs

Disadvantages: not long enough (11 songs!)

I had vaguely heard of White Zombie but I had been a bit apprehensive of buying any of their stuff (mainly because I hadn't heard much of it!). However after reading the other review of White Zombie on this site I decided to have a listen. Luckily I managed to pick up a copy of Astro-creep 2000 2nd hand (see price!) and what a cracking album it is!
The subtitle of the album is

"songs of love, destruction and other synthetic delusions of the electric head"

which just about sums it up really.

The album is hard and relentless but always easy to listen to and I guarantee you will go about singing the songs to yourself for days. There is a bit of everything in there from Guns 'n' Roses to NIN (well I think so anyway!). If you like your music loud and hard but still accessible this is definately right for you. Its a mix of several musical styles rock, metal and industrial and does not sound dated in anyway whatsoever.

My next purchase will have to be the lead singers solo album - Rob Zombies "Hellbilly Deluxe" (read the review on here about it!) as, if its as good as this album, will be an absolute stonker.

Great stage act to compliment an original sound (aided by the best looking bass player I've ever seen, tho female ones are few and far between). Trust me though, don't bother with the solo album - its a real let down unless you can pick that one up 2nd hand too :+)

What makes this album stand above other heavy rock albums is that it is free of pointless guitar solos.
