At My Age - Nick Lowe

Nick Lowe has long been considered one of the great British songwriters and this collection released in 2007 is testament to that belief. It is rare that an artist can keep producing quality material late in their careers (Rod Stewart American Songbook as a prime example) but Lowe excels. Where he succeeds is in singing songs about growing old and that have relevance to him at his age... hence the title. Anyone hoping for pub rock Lowe of old will be disappointed. The nearest you will get is the rockabilly of A Man In Love. Each song is laid back and has an almost loungy or country feel.
