"Paparazzi" is by far the best song on this album and I bought the album straight away when it first came out on the strength of how struck I was after seeing the video for it and hearing it for the first time. He made fun of fake ass rappers shooting a video pretending to be hard and promoting a gangstafied image. Something any proper Hip Hop fan is only too familiar with. When Xzibit is on point he is up there with the best, mostly because of his strong commanding voice and underlying angry tones (e.g. "B**ch please" with Snoop where he outshines all) but also because his words have an emotional content and use of adjectives many ... With the recent success of 'X' and the album 'Restless', i thought it right to bring to you an opinion on one of X to tha Z's lesser known albums 'At the speed of life'. This album is a couple of years old and is from a time when Xzibit was relatively new to the rap scene, even though he already had another album, '40 days and 40 nights'. 'At the ..' is definately more underground than 'restless', but Xzibit has done well to hold on to these roots even though fame has launched him into the top flight rappers.
