Madina Lake are a band from Chicago (USA of course) that formed in 2005. The lead singer and bassist are twins which helps to makes the band more recognisable as they haven't been around for a long time. They made the EP 'The Disappearance of Adalia' and after that released their debut album 'From Them, Through Us, To You' in 2007. The album was mocked by some and Madina Lake were given the label that they resent, 'emo'. Although I do agree that some of the songs on the first album do sound similar, there are still amazing songs on it, the most famous ones being 'Here I Stand' and 'One Last Kiss'. Desperate to show their own sound and shake off the emo label ... Read the complete review

Madina Lake: Attics To Eden What a remarkable album! I woke up early just to traipse down to Cheshire Oaks for this album...IN THE RAIN!! After Madina Lakes new album, I was left hungry for more...then I heard their Track Never Take Us Alive On MTV2. I was amazed, the band are better than before. So I researched when the new album would be out...I had a month to wait...I didn't think I would last that long. The Band formed in early 2005 and released their first full length album From Them Through To Us in 2007. Band Members Nathan Leone - lead vocalist Mateo Camargo - guitar, programming, backing vocals Matthew ... Read the complete review

Given that I am a huge Madina Lake fan and have been for so long I cannot remember how long it has been, I eagerly awaited the arrival of the new album, and considering it was meant to be released on the 27th of April I actually pre-ordered it as soon as it was available on Play.com.. So after waiting over two months for the album, I was shocked to receive the e-mail from play.com telling me that the album had been put back a week by the record company to the 4th of May... Oh how disappointed was I? VERY.. However I know how good Play.com are and I wasn't too surprised when it landed on the mat in my door way on Saturday, (tip: if you want an album a little earlier than ... Read the complete review

The Eraser - Thom Yorke
Many of the songs are beautiful, Thom's voice is in top form
A couple of average songs (Skip Divided/Atoms for Peace)
The Chronicles Of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch And The Wardrobe - Soundtrack
Mostly pleasant listening and has some quite good ideas
But when it comes to execution falters down into generic blandness
Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest - Soundtrack
A more mature take on the Caribbean series
It's still largely garbage
Industrial Sound And Magic - Rev Hammer
a blend of mellow folk and brash rants
none, provided you have a soul
Exile On Mainstream - Matchbox Twenty
Absolutely Briilliant!!
None At All!
Drunken Lullabies - Flogging Molly
rabble rousing , slam dancing , singalong punk at its best
a bit brash for some tastes
Burning Bridges - Arch Enemy
Some pleasing and different death metal, great guitars
Occasionally rips off its influences
American V: A Hundred Highways - Johnny Cash
An immaculate choice of songs, and a heart-rendering vocal performance
None. I really can't think of any!
Kill Your Own - Hundred Reasons
3-4 great tracks
Meandering lyrics, lack of style
