Pure rock from start to finish.

"Audio Dog" is the debut solo album released in 2001 on Perris Records by American artist, Bruce Kulick. The album features Bruce on guitar, bass and lead vocals, showing he is a man of many musical talents.

There are four mind blowing instrumentals, all of which showcase his creative style. A person might think instrumental songs would take away from a rock album, but each of them is a showcase of just what Kulick is capable of producing.

"Strange to Me", has heavy guitar work and a guitar solo, and could easily be considered a heavy love song. It is heavier than a power ballad, with an easy to sing along to (but not poppy) chorus. The lyrics could be about love or lust, depending on how you perceive them.

With a heavy guitar intro featuring thundering drum support, "Need Me" gets in your face with the message that 'you either want me or you don't, I am going to live my life my way'. The song contains an astounding guitar solo.

"I Don't Mind" starts out with a slower tempo but heavy feel, leading into a heavy power ballad. The guitar work and drums keep it from feeling like a wimpy, sappy song. This track truly shows Kulick's guitar talent and why so many other artists ask him to play on their albums.

One of the instrumentals, "Monster Island", takes your breath away with its brilliance. The song starts with a very short, mechanical sounding monster roar. From the very first note the listener is blown away by a weighty guitar solo that instantly says the song has substance to it. With astounding, soaring guitar work, heavy drums and bass backing, this is one song you will find yourself listening to over and over.

"Skydome", also an instrumental, with an impressive guitar and drum intro, is pure joy for the ears and mind. It is one of those songs that words can't do justice, and must be heard to be truly appreciated.
One of those albums that show what rock is really all about, "Audio Dog" is easy to recommend to anyone.
