Now if you haven't yet heard of Ashlee Simpson then I must say I am very surprised. Ashlee is the younger sister of MTV reality TV star Jessica Simpson and she broke onto the music scene with her debut album Autobiography in the summer of 2004. She however has taken a different approach to music than that of her older sister and has gone for a much rockier sound compared to Jessica's pop princess image. Back in the day when ‘cheesy’ was cool (them were the days!) the American pop manufacturing machine spouted out four blonde beauties in all their golden skinned, glossy haired, white toothed, choreographed to within an inch of their life glory. AUTIOBIOGRAPHY is the title of this pop rock album by ASHLEE SIMPSON younger sister of Jessica Simpson. The album consists of 14 tracks. The opening track AUTOBIOGRAPHY is a fast paced track that is brought to life by the guitar and Simpson's enthusiastic singing that starts the album well. PIECES OF ME is a great dance track that will have you on the dance floor. Good guitar and drums on this song. SHADOW is slightly slower and focuses more on the lyrics that are really good with a positive message. After a long period of no reviews, I can safely say I have bought more CD's seen more films, travelled more places, bought new things. On my return I have decided to review one of my surprisingly favourite albums of 2004. Out of all of the albums I have ever bought this is one I have heard the songs for a long time and never gotten quite bored yet of. When you hear about Ashlee, you may not be very insterested because you'll probably think she's identical to her sister. She's not. She has a more fun and younger style that will catch you on the very first chorus of the album, and will keep you there throughout the whole. Here's a song by song review: 1.-Autobiography: This is the first song in the album, and also names this one. It starts very quiet, but then it explodes on the fun chorus: "got stains on my T-shirt/ and I'm the biggest flirt"...
