'Baby Making Project' is another great album from one of my Favourite RnB groups - Jagged Edge.

It is the 6th album from the group released in 2007. I always look forward to the Jagged Edge albums and this one was no exception; I was pretty intrigued when I heard the track and watched the video for 'Put a Little Umph In It' which was the main single off this album and featured Ashanti.

The lyrics for 'Put a Little Umph In It' are rather interesting and it is one of those thought-provoking ones and yet the subject is obvious as often is with the Jagged Edge tracks and it is another one of their love ballads/love-making tracks that they are rather good at making.

The album has 11 tracks; it begins with a good intro with a mixture of snippets of the groups' most successful tracks from previous albums as a nice reminder of why we love them 'Where the Party at', 'Let's Get Married', 'Gotta Be', 'Promise' etc...

My favourite tracks are 'I'll Be Damned', 'Can't Get Right', 'Round and Round', 'Sunrise' and 'Turn You On' which is most of the tracks on the album really...
The lyrics are well written and the groups' voices and harmony do the rest of the magic flowing really well with the interesting and catchy backing tracks.

I have some of their previous albums and although this album has the same slow ballads and tracks, there is something different this time round with more funk and a cool feel to the tracks rather than lovey dovey but they still have all the Jagged Edge charm and style the others have.

This one is more of a 'chill out and relax' album, can't really say any of the tracks are upbeat dance ones and 'Get a Little Umph In It' is about as upbeat as it gets. Maybe that's why it's called the 'Baby Makin' Project'!

Only track I'm not keen on is 'Whole Town Laughing' which has interesting lyrics and all but I just find it a tard boring..

Nonetheless, like this album - love my RnB, ballads and romance so this one is right up my street once again. Jagged Edge fans will definitely enjoy and other listeners alike... Looking forward to their next one...
